Like many sales managers, admin isn’t normally an element of the role I truly relish – however there is always the exception and this is one of them! I really cannot praise the day Mike facilitated for the Moorfields Pharmaceutical team enough. As a group, we presented many of the familiar team building challenges that come with intergrating a newly devised group of individuals with very different backgrounds, experiences, skills sets and of course expectations of the day! Mike recognised the importance of aligning the agenda to an open forum style which was clearly brilliant as this really helped to ensure delegate engagement right from the start. The outcomes were positive and tangible with a clear recognition for open and honest communications – sounds simple but ‘Mike’s Magic’ made it happen in a very natural format. We will certainly be booking Mike to facilitate future training sessions that will help us to build on these firm foundations. Thank you again.

Dear Mike, Many thanks for facilitating our team meeting last week. The session you delivered was both inspiring and motivating. Over the last few years the team has evolved and changed on a regular basis. The session you facilitated enabled us to ‘take time out’ and ‘re-group’ allowing us time to reflect on achievements over these years and focus on what we have delivered successfully, rather than those we haven’t.

Mike provided a series of coaching sessions with a member of my team (a Healthcare Manager). I approached Mike to work with an individual who was experiencing a ‘crisis of confidence’ in her career and was uncertain which path to follow with our organisation. His intervention had a profound effect on the person in question. Mike very quickly developed rapport with the coachee and managed to diagnose a variety of issues which linked to both past career and factors outside work. The result was immediate; following the coaching intervention, the coachee was radically different at work and had a clear idea of the career path within our organisation. I have noticed a clear difference in her confidence levels during team meetings and this change in attitude has resulted in her productivity increasing significantly. I was not surprised by the result; in the years I have known Mike he has consistently demonstrated a real skill for coaching and bringing the potential out of people. Since this initial work, Mike has provided further input to our organisation in different Business Units, I would absolutely recommend Mike and will undoubtedly work with Mike again in the future.

I have known Mike Shinton since 1997 and have worked with Mike over the years on a number of occasions. Mike has the rare ability to really connect with people. Mike can very quickly understand what makes an individual motivated and is able to find the “buttons” to press to change behaviours and to improve that person’s performance. Mike has a very high level of integrity and is genuinely passionate about getting the best from people he works with. Mike works hard and delivers on his promises made. I attended a work shop that Mike Shinton ran in July 2006 working with "Goal Setting & Life Purpose". It changed the way I set goals but also got me to question myself as to my life's direction, Mike works in a very inspirational way, creating a fun, open & relaxed atmosphere allowing real gems to surface in you. We all know our own answers, but quite often not the questions, Mike will pose questions that push into areas of yourself not explored before. His work shop was very interactive with everyone contributing and bouncing ideas off each other. Having never met any of the other delegates before we were working as a team after just a few hours together creating great results. That was a little over 12 months ago, and I worked with the principles and questions Mike facilitated. Within 2 months I had the basis of my life purpose worked out and have achieved many of the goals I set for myself. A couple of the principles Mike works with and teaches "An attitude of gratitude" & "self empowerment"
